Road today from Sioux Falls to Baltic and back.  The river is rough, slushy in a few spots and the normal open spots that are there every year.  It was a great day to ride.  Even the shushy spots didn't seem to have weak ice under them.

The parking area sucks though.  We got the truck and trailer stuck twice and there was a ton of people there when we came back.  I didn't agree with the people letting there little kids ride around the parking area, there just isn't enough room for that.

I heard from some people that its all slush, 2-3" of slush.  But there is ice under it.  They found some soft spots and turned around and come home.

We road it all the way to Baltic and I didn't think it was that bad.  There was some slush, but solid ice under it.

Road the river again Saturday from Sioux Falls to just North of Baltic.  The river is a little rough, but the ice seems to be holding up.  We would have went all the way to Dell Rapids but the snow on the edges of the river was too deep to keep messing with to go around all the dams.  No slush this time.

Went riding on the river on Sunday the 21.  I unloaded in Baltic to meet up with everyone that got on at SF.  The river was awsome North of Dell Rapids.  We Averaged about 60 mph.  Could not get off the river to play much but it was a blast.  All I will say is if you ride right now be ready to have fun and then be sore.  There is alot of drifts going across the river that you get air off of.  South of Dells to Baltic snow was a little deeper but still able to ride.  I could not keep the tires from not spinning.  Went through a tank of gas in 50 miles.

I will try to post a date that we are riding next time if anyone is interested.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
