Run what you brung
« on: August 19, 2009, 02:29:21 PM »
We were out racing the other nite on the drag stip I built.  We were talking about how much fun it is to just run the track.  And we got the idea of having an open dirt drag.  Show up with whatever machine you have and run against whoever for as many runs as you want.  There i room for 4-5 lanes so that many people could race at once.  10 bucks to run all day and then have some kind of a payout at the end for the top 3 in a challenge of some sort.  It would be about 10 miles north of plankinton.  How many people would show up?

That sounds like a lot of fun....That's one of the reasons I enjoy Genoa so much...racing all day long with lot's of different stuff to line up against.  You guys will love it if you come down for the fall Jam.  Junkie would have a hayday down there.  Oops I'm off topic, yes I'd come for a day of racing...Is the track tilled?

It doesn't have to be.....I was just wondering what Andy did to make a track.

Ouch....I don't want to feel Junkie's roost if we're racing in gravel.

the track right no is scraped dirt but we are going to till it.  We may have both, depends how much room we end up with.  Right now the lanes are 12 foot wide and there is about that much between them.  The tilled lanes would be a little narrower.
