Would you run full synthetic oil
« on: July 23, 2009, 09:27:37 PM »
Do you think it is worth the extra money to run synthetic?  I am thinking of running it?  Just thought I would ask.

Also I was told if I did it might take away some power.  Please give any thoughts

You can, but it has to be designed for wet clutches, otherwise you'll ruin the wet clutch shoes.  Only Suzuki, Yamaha, and Cat have to be concerned about it.

They say you are supposed to actually gain power because of less friction, its probaly not much but i run full syntetic its what my machines run from the factory.

I run Klotz MX4 (full synthetic) in all my machines. 15w50 in the red DS and Outlander, and 10w30 in my drag DS.

it's a little on the expensive side but you should find it at most auto parts stores
