Hare Scramble Renner SD
« on: June 18, 2009, 03:09:45 PM »
Last Sunday my boy Cody ran in the ATV Hare Scramble at Saddleback race track in Renner SD. First time he ever tried it and he had a blast. It was an MX course that must have been over 4 miles long. You go around it as many times as you can in 1hr plus one additional lap. There were about 15 ATVs in his class and 2 other classes with about 5 to 7 in each and they all race at the same time. Bat code on the helmet to score you each time you pass thru the gate. No shecial gear required, helmet, gloves and boots. Any machine quad/utility any size. They do have a seperate race for the little kids and that goes 1/2hr. They do it one a month and I think we'll be back

if you enjoyed that hare scramble there you should check out website in my signature. www.iatvhss.com

I gave the renner series a shot, but its a club that caters to dirt bikes and they only draw a handful of quads. plus the idea of racing in a pasture for an hr isnt very fun compared to the other series I have raced in. I could go on and on about things I dont like about the SVCC but wont.

the iatvhss will draw about 300 adult quads, 150 in the morning and 150 in the afternoon. Plus they have a big draw of 50cc, 70cc and 90cc stock and production kids classes. Tracks are anywhere from 8 to 12 miles long and you race for 2hrs. Much better run series and yes its a drive but its worth it. I have raced in the series for 3 yrs in the utility class but due to medical reasons I am not racing for now.

glad you had fun with a hare scramble, once you catch the bug your addicted.

Thanks for the info Rundrave! Looks cool. I think we'll have to check out the local secine first and see how that goes. I see the are ATV races at I90 Speedway Sunday AM and a friend of ours is racing his UTV out there so we might check it out. Also my son has a friend/classmate that races in the ATVA Extreme Dirt Track National ATV Racing Series and we've been wanting to check that out to but hes racing in Pennsylvania this weekend. Lots to do out there just not enough time and money fro it all.

Good for Cody....that's awesome.  I can't imagine how tired I'd be doing something like that.  Lets see some more action shots!!
You're trapped in a room with a ferocious bear, a crazed lion, and a Patriots fan. You have a gun but only two bullets. What do you do?

Shoot the Patriots fan........................twice.
