GEDDES FUR TRADERS ATV RACE IN AUGUST

Here are the final classes for geddes fur traders day. The race will be Saturday August 8th, 2009.  Registration will be from 9:00am-10:30AM and race will start at 11:00 am.  I will be asking for early registration again this year to help speed things up, I will ask around the beginning of August.  This will be the 3rd year we have done this and every year seems to get a little better.  Hope to see everyone there and bring the family.

TEAM RACE:
one team member will do the mud, the other team member will do the dirt drag.  teams will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and the money from the auction will go 70% to the buyer of the winning team and 20% to the buyer of the second place team. And 10% to cover costs.

Helmets will be required at all times when racing.
No joy riding of any kind, The only time you should be riding is when your racing or lining up.
10.00 entry fee per class, you can move up in classes.
20.00 entry fee for team race
100% payback to all racers
3.00 gate fee/       Racers will get in for free if you are racing
No food or coolers please, there will be concessions at the race.

I'm guessing he forgot to post the Utilty classes for the dirt drags. Sounds like they will be similar to what Lake was though.

We will have the same classes at talsmas as we did in lake, and i think they should be the same in geddes so we can stay consistant about things.It causes alot less confusion and makes things run alot smoother.

mike post the classes in lake to me on pm and i will change them i agree with ya, not sure what you had for clkasses i was busy keeping an eye on all the bad guys racing/lol thanks

there will only be 1 kids class and we will give trophies to the top 8, all kids units must be under 125cc's

also the calcuta will change after talking with some that have done it and i think it will be like this.

60% to the person who buys the winning team
10% for cost for operation of the race.
20% to the person who buys the second place team
5% to the winning team
5% to the second place team.

that will be the money just from the calcuta.

for the races It will pay back 100% of the money per class
1st place will get 60%
2nd place will get 30%
3rd place will get 10%

the cost of the two person team race will be 20.00
the cost of the other classes will be 10.00 per class and you can move up in class.
the kids fee will be 4.00 for the class

I would like to see more money go to the person who owns the winning team.  Like 80% to them 10 to the second place owner and 10 for cost of operation.  The first and second place teams will be winning money from the race and the calcuta money should stay with the people who invest in it.

thats fine but i just thought give a litttle back to the racers but you are right, so i will do a poll and we will see what everyone else likes also. thanks for the input.

Most people are willing to spend more when you get more back in return.  If you only get 60% back they are less likely to bid on more than one or two teams.  The good buyers will usually give a cut to the team that made them the money but some don't.  I am going to buy my self so it will more than likely be a donation to the pot so it doesn't really matter how it is split up to me.

Any good camping spots there?  We would love to come up but 3 hours from us here in Nebraska we would like to maybe come up the night before and hang out and camp.

Not in geddes,but there are campgrounds around or you can camp in my backyard.Are you coming to talsmas for the spring mud run and grass drags?its on the 20-21.

there are camp sites about 9 miles from geddes at peace creek, nice spot, or like mike said his yard or i have room at my place also.
