I just got back last night after spending a few days out there. Rode 4 days on the trails and we stayed at the Browning Fork trailhouse in Gilbert and just rode from there.

Trails were awesome, got a little wet and muddy but that really helped keep the dust down. Definately worth the long drive, and the people out there although a bit different have more hospitality than anywhere I have ever been and they go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care off.

Trails are really rocky and hard on a quad, but the only thing that broke was one of my rear hubs after I spun out the inside of it on the axle. It was too wet to do any of the black trails and I didnt feel like driving that far to end up rolling a quad down the side of a mountain.

I will try to get some pics and helmet cam footage postage shortly.

Good for you.  That trail system was one of my favorites.  I agree about the people out there.  Some were a bit nuts but most all the locals were super friendly.  Looking forward to the pics.
You're trapped in a room with a ferocious bear, a crazed lion, and a Patriots fan. You have a gun but only two bullets. What do you do?

Shoot the Patriots fan........................twice.

How was the area recovering from the big floods they had?  I think they were in May, about a month after I was there.  The town of Gilbert was hit very hard from what I had heard and seen videos of.

well the town is a mess, but I am not sure if it always looks that way?

You can still see where alot of roads and bridges were washed out but all the major stuff is open. On some of the switchbacks coming into town the road is down to one lane but that wasnt to much of a road block.

the trails themselves were very well groomed and we didnt really see anything on the trails side that got washed out or anything.

I think the towns in that area always look a little run down.  I don't think there is a lot of money in the area.

We stayed in Justice, which is just East of Gilbert about 4 miles and the hotel looks pretty good until you lay down in bed and feel all of the springs in the mattress.  I would like to go back sometime to ride again.  The trails were great and each one had it's own personality.  My favorite trails to ride are still the Paiute trails in Utah.
