1989 gmc suburban 4sale

I have a 1989 gmc suburban 4x4 I would like to sell.pw,pl,tilt,cruise,ac.1/3 tread on tires.Interior is like new.Runs but has a bad head gasket or cracked head on pass.side.A different head is between $50-$75  would make a nice hunting rig or cheap plow truck. asking $450.00
consider trades tell me what you have

Is it driveable or does it overheat right away.  Is the coolant going in oil or out of engine?

last time we drove it it was blowing it out the exhaust pretty decent(white smoke)that's when we shut it down.It was running fine down the highway until that point.You can start it and drive it a little I suppose.Can definately drive it on a trailer.I start it and move it around here once in awhile.Wouldn't drive it very far the way it is.I don't think there's any water in the oil.Doesn't knock or rattle and the oil pressure is still good.Next time I'm outside I will check the dipstick for water.
If i didn't already have a ton of extra parts for my 89 gmc pickup I would have stripped this in a heartbeat.I just hate to strip it since it can be fixed and I don't need any more extra parts

oil seems to be good,didn't see any water or milky oil.

I'll take 400.00 for it.Otherwise I'm going to start stripping(the suburban).......had to put that in cuz I know the response I would of got otherwise

Think I could drive it 150 miles or does it overheat?

Let me do some checking.  I have a carburated 350 sitting and would like to put it in something so it doesn't end up locking up sittin.  {Plus I could always use another 4x4.  I think I can just change the intakes on the two motors, but I'm not sure.

I wouldn't drive it.I would definately trailer it.It pumps out water fairly quickly.
I know you could put that carbed 350 in there and just bypass the fuel pump.The fuel pump on the carbed 350 should suck right through the one in the tank.I'm not sure either about the intake swap.
