When I removed my carbs to rejet I found a problem. I have no idea how it ran as good as it did. I mean ,it ran like crap, but I woulda expected worse....... The slide on the front carb would only go about 2/3 of the way up,then it would bind up. When I removed the cap I found that the spring was bent over under the cap. It took some doing ,but I got it reassembled with the spring installed properly and now the slide functions properly. It has always had a stumble under steady throttle but ran great WOT and it also seamed to run rich..This is the first time the carbs have been off,so it had to come from the factory this way, unless its possible for the spring to missalign with the cap on,and it didnt look like it . Got them all cleaned up ,jetted and put back on..It runs WAY better, but rich cuz of the stock pipe .Now if my new pipe would show up I could see how much better it runs. Hopfully the chokes will function properly.
