Do you mean diameter or width? What size is the tire and what size is the rim? Is it an 8x8 rim?

Are you sure its not 12x8 rim? thats a really wide rim if its an 8x12. If its a 12x8 rim it will fit. You got the rim, tire, and a tape measure handy?

Haha I was going to say, an 8x12 rim is awefully wide. But since the rim is only 8 inches wide it must be a 12x8 and that will work with a 25x8x12 tire. The tire just wont be quite as tall and narrow, but a little shorter and wider, or in other words the rollout will be a little smaller.

Well hopfully I  can get all 4 tires the same rollout by playing with air pressure, cant afford 2 more front rims right now.

Yeah it may not make a huge difference on a 4x4 tire like that. I know with sand tires it makes a pretty big difference. Just as long as it isnt a big enough difference to start tearing out differentials and transfercases(if its got em). I guess I am not sure what its going on or what kinda set up it is but im guessing its a 4wd machine.

Yeah you might have to play around with air pressures to get them close...

You wont have any problems.  The tire wont set on the bead as easy but it still shouldn't be bad.

Are they steel rims?  Did you just bend the bead or the center section?
