UTV
« on: July 08, 2008, 09:31:20 AM »
I'm trying to decide what kind of UTV to get. I heard that the rzr is good and the tyrex is good and i talked to a dealer and he said can am is coming out with one in march so what is your opinion?

If I was to get one right now, I would have to pass on the RZR and the Terex just because of the nature of their belt drives.  If Can-am came out with one I'm sure it would be a knockout, but I would pass on that as well because it would still probably have the "visco Lock" front diff.  For me that leaves the Prowler and the Rhino, unless Can-am puts a real locker in that front end.

I love my rzr it allows me to go anywhere  i can take my sportsman but it is alot easier with two people, and its still the only utv that fits atv trails.I guess it all depends what you will be doing with it the most.

Have you taken the RZR to Genoa yet? I'm just curious if it fits through most of the trails down there or not.

I've seen Razr's back in the trails there,  I'm not sure if any of the other utes would fit on alot of the trails though.  The ute's look like fun.  Wish I wasn't so poor. :'(

I have not been to genoa yet but it will fit anywhere a 4 wheeler will you just have to watch the rollcage,it will hit low branchs that you can duck under on a quad.I use it more than my sportsman most of the time it is more fun on the trails and i have won every sled pull i have entered with it(3 of them)

If you consider mules rhinos and prowlers utvs than i guess so.I even pulled against other rzrs last year at the black hills utv rally and a ranger with a 800 motor and nos.We have to pull in our own class.

I betting the Can Am will be belt drive like their quads.
