you both are right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1  moby, once you get muddy it gets easier and easier, lol!!!

I don't know I'm a pretty delicate little flower, maybe I'll get the 750 out to go mud romping, its slow but I had fun at Vermillion last year.  What kind of headstart do fat guys get?
You're trapped in a room with a ferocious bear, a crazed lion, and a Patriots fan. You have a gun but only two bullets. What do you do?

fat guys get traction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it dont matter how fast your 750 is, when you run the dual lanes it pretty much evens everything up, i ran against a 600 and it was close, sort of but all bs aside, the more people we get to support these events the better the sport will advance and also will be able to host the events, so please come support any race you can, even if you are a flower, you can be a dirty one with thornes.

So how deep is the mud at these races?  If it's real deep don't you almost have to have different tires?  If it's deep and everyone changes out their tires then isn't everyone modified?  Also, I don't know anyone who actually keeps the stock tires on their machine anyway- they all suck!  I don't see how tires could count as being modified.  IMO

you would have to have a certain size over stock, it will be hard to have modified classes right now, but I am sure that the day will come.

back in the day (never thought I would say that) racing mud trucks you could have 1 of 3 mods carb, intake, or headers not all three, and the tire size was set at 31or32 in this was stock. If you had more than 1 you went to superstock class.Basically slightly modded but not open

Just curious, but I have yet to see anyone advertise an event that had "stock" classes. Where are these at? When an event has an "open" class,in my mind thats a run what you brung, custom frame,NOS, whatever class. Having an open class dont designate that the others have to be stock classes.  ;)

your right I have not seen it either, I know that there are some awsome quads and utilities, but none have showed up with nos or other stuff like that.  I guess if I start having these I will Run a 800-899 class and then have a open also.  I don't know of any around here that race with the all the bells, But I can see what others mean about having a 800-899 class, but that means the cats would have to run against nos, so What I will do next year is if any atv has nos or streched frame or other items along that line, they will have to run the open class.  but for now I have not had any show up.

I know, you let me down, I have had bad results using NOS, from sleds to cars, aleast my motors did not like it, and neither did my check book

Ive seen and been to many races all over the country that have offered a stock class or as some put it, an industry class.

I think all this talk about making things fair blah blah blah is BS. This is RACING! If racing was fair and they had a class for everybody so everybody could win in their class than what fun would that be.

Your gonna run into faster quads, faster racers, people who sand bag,  its all part of the sport. Its racing.

As mentioned its your event, and your free run it as you feel and your not going to please everybody. I would just get the classes set and run with it. So people can figure out how to dial their quads in etc.

and most of all have fun

Ok here is mu $.02.  I run a complete stock machine.  I plan on running more mud races than grass.  At Geddes I lost in the grass drages but did well in the mud.  It was complete driver error when I lost.   My class is fine untill the real mods start showing up, then it might need to be addressed.  There are some things a stock machine and a fat man can not do, and grass drags is one of them.  ;D  8)

the main reason for the post was that there was talk of people taking a machine and putting in a bigger motor and racing in the size class that is on the side, and that will not be allowed.  IN MY RACES
