Just to let everybody know that the pits were dug for Lake Andes this weekend.  They are 180 feet long and the drag race will be on hard packed dirt and will also be about 180 feet.  The pits were not filled with water yet but we needed to get the dirt work done because the tractors will be in the field soon.

ryan, how does it work if you want to mud race and race on the dirt, will they be going on at the same time or are you going to start with the dirt and then the mud races so the quads aren't weighed down with mud?

We will do the dirt drags first, then run the mud.

Just a couple things:  People have been asking about the size of the atv classes.  We will be going on the factory sticker that is on the atv.  If the sticker says 700, you will run in the 700 class.  We will not be pulling plastic to see what cc's they are.  If people are worried about 20cc's then you better not come.  We are here to have fun, not make money, If people want to pay $50.00 entry fee maybe then we will run cc's.  My buddy last year ran a 650 brute and beat all but one, in the 700- 799 class, and got third in the open class.

Also I was called about the Artic Cats not running in the two wheel drive class.  I talked with a dealer and a rider and they do not have a tire that grabs.  So that means for all you Artic Cat fans you will be able to run in the two wheel drive class.

Thanks and any more questions feel free to ask.

What sort of sport quads usually show up for this thing? Are you guys looking to have full-out race quads, or just basically stock ones. I'm planning on coming down for the drag race, probably not the mud. Just wondering how bad I will get beat.

A couple of my buddies and I are bringing down sport quads. Do you think that there will be quite a few, or is it mainly going to be a utility deal?

Stumper, I assume your question is directed at me. I might, just depends on how many people from Chamberlain come along, right now I will have one other guy in my pickup, if that is the case we'll take my little utility trailer, but if more decide to come we will hook up another guy's enclosed and take that, then we might have room, but as of right now, I don't know.
