Published: August 20, 2010, 6:40 AM
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Army Corps of Engineers plans to release more water from two Missouri River reservoirs in southeast South Dakota over the next two weeks.
The corps is lowering the water level so the reservoirs can hold runoff next spring and summer.
Releases will be increased by 13 to 18 percent from Fort Randall Dam at Pickstown and Gavins Point Dam at Yankton. Discharges will be boosted to around 46,500 to 47,500 cubic feet per second.
